Born and grown up in Houston (Texas), Jonathan Casella travelled around the United States over the past few years, from San Francisco, to New York, to Los Angeles, where he is currently based. Primarily influenced by the 1990s, the area in which the artist operates has been a prominent country in the development of modern and contemporary art during the twentieth century, particularly in the post war era, due to the hegemony of the American economic and political institutions.

In Jonathan’s paintings we can clearly notice inspirations such as Pop Art masters, such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, redesigned in a geometrical aesthetic. His approach is direct, performing vivid, vibrant, and highly stylized compositions.
