Ji Min Hwang

Bio & CV:

Ji Min Hwang (b. 1995) is a South Korean artist working and residing in Seoul, South Korea. Hwang is currently a candidate for her M.F.A. in Painting at School of Visual Arts. She received her B.F.A. in illustration from Pratt Institute in 2018. Her work captures the moments when her life views and personal experiences click together. She believes that a lot of things that we overlook in our daily life have a spiritual quality that reveals our potentials, strengths, and hopes for us to move forward. Her work intends to highlight the spiritual dimension that lies behind the events and obstacles we encounter in life. Hwang has exhibited in galleries such as The Warehouse Gallery, Onishi Gallery and Yui Gallery. Her work has been recognized by The Society of Illustrators and the American Illustration.
